Parents evening for Summer Camp

Parents evening is on Friday 8th June from 20:00 with a presentation from 20:30.

This is a JOINT meeting of the Dark and Light Blue Troops.  No meeting on Wednesday.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday evening.

The new programme for the final term this year has been published. There are a couple of Joint meetings between Light and Dark Blue troops.

Clean sweep winners!

In the Annual Torch race up the Chevin 1st Ben Rhydding put out two teams this year for the first time.

Before the race there is an inspection for the smartest troop.

As we were the current holders we wanted to retain the Torch and the award for smartest troop.

Expectations for retaining the Torch were low as we had 2 young teams out.

However both teams ran for all it was worth and they were rewarded with 1st and 3rd. An excellent result well done scouts!!

The performance was then topped off by also winning the smartest Troop award.

So well done to all the scouts involved in both running and those who turned up to support.

Tonight’s Torch race teams

To confirm there is nothing happening at the scout hut this evening.

We are all meeting in Otley at the top of Station Road for 19:00 (finish and pick up at the top of the Chevin at 20:15).

Can everyone wear full uniform.

Those running can wear the kit underneath and bring a bag for your uniform so it can be taken to the top following inspection.

No spikes allowed trainers alone. The teams are as below

St George’s day parade & celebration 2018

Meet:Ilkley Park/Riverside Gardens at 14:15 for 14:30 march off

This is an important District occasion; please ensure that correct smart uniform is worn as we are on display to the public.

As usual there will be a competition for the best turned out Group. We would like to win it again.

Clip n Climb – next Wednesday & Friday

There are still places available for next weeks activity at Clip n Climb in Ilkley.

LIGHT blue are going on Wednesday 21st.

DARK Blue are going on Friday 23rd.

Please arrive for 19:15 outside Clip n Climb with pick up being at 20:45

The cost is £5 per Scout please bring the money with you on the night.

Due to the weather forecast this evening the Leaders have taken the decision to cancel the walk on the Moors.

We will look to re arrange in better weather.

Please come to the Scout Hut as normal this evening in uniform and with a coat to go out.

Dick Hudson to Cow n Calf night Hike

This coming week each troop will be walking from Dick Hudson’s pub to the Cow and Calf.

Light Blue Troop will be meeting at Dick Hudson’s pub at 19:30 on Wednesday 14th and will be back at the car park at the Cow and Calf by 21:15.

Dark Blue Troop will be meeting at Dick Hudson’s pub at 19:15 on Friday 16th and will be back at the car park at the Cow and Calf by 21:15.

Please also bring money for Clip n’Climb the following week. No Permission form is required.
