  • Scouts help at the Ilkley Half Marathon

    Ilkley’s Half marathon, organised by the round table was a very hot event for all! 1st Ben Rhydding Scout Troop helped out by runnning one of the water stops along the route to keep all the runners (and helpers!) hydrated and motivated throughout the tough event

  • Scout Hike across the Moors

    Had a fantastic evening hiking right across Ilkley Moor. The weather held out right until the end and all the scouts kept a good pace. 5km completed, navigation skills practiced, and all scouts in good spirits at the end; a cracking walk for a great evening!

    After the last two torch races in Otley got canceled due to covid, we once again returned to our annual district race. Ilkley Explorers retained the trophy for the explorer race, and 1st BR Scouts retained our trophy for thhe scout race. Fantastic result for the group and cracking effort from everyone there.     Scouts have just returned from another fantastic winter weekend at our Hag Dyke hostel on the side of Great Whernside. Fantastic Weather, great belated christmas feast, and an amazing walk!

    Just a last minute reminder that scouts are not meeting tonight and are meeting on Friday instead to help with the round table Santa float. More details coming soon.
